Grammy-nominated Nigerian singer and songwriter Ayra Starr in new video stirred mixed reactions among social media users as she finally obeys her mum’s advice on her choice of outfits.
Taking to her verified page on the popular microblogging platform X formerly called Twitter today, February 7th 2024, Ayra Starr made it known to all and sundry that she now wears a long skirt adding that the inspiration to start doing so was bestowed on her by her mother.
Recall few hours ago, a Nigerian man identified as Naijashimadun called out Ayra Starr for always wearing skimpy outfits and by extension referred to her as Ayera Star.
Slamming the singer over her choice of outfits, the man also tackled Ayra Starr’s mother for not playing enough motherly role in Ayra Starr’s choice of clothes since she broke into prominence.
He also tackled Ayra Starr over the way she disrespected music legend King Sunny Ade and senior colleague singer Jaywon whom she met in Los Angeles, USA.
Swiftly, Ayra Starr said that her mother informed her of the development telling her to start wearing longer skirts and even hashtagged the name the man gave to her.
Ayra Starr wrote; “My mom said I should start wearing longer skirts 🤭 #ayerastarr.”
